Laura Freedman is a jewelry designer and the founder of Broken English, a bi-coastal boutique for fine jewelry and rare vintage finds. That is to say she knows her way around accessories and tried-and-true silhouettes. She proves the timeless-but-oft-forgotten rule that a little can say a lot, as long as you choose the little very carefully.
She takes her cues from ’70s, ’80s and ’90s — all in a single week per above!!! — but does so with a subtle hand. Her ability to change the tone of a look with just a few accessories is impressive: “all black” isn’t even close to simple when you add a vintage Chanel belt, for instance. Neither are jeans and T-shirt.
Follow Laura for a week in the slideshow above and then watch as your thirst for special accessories curiously skyrockets.
