Why? Firstly, because it marries two of my (our?) favorite fabrics — denim and poplin — in two of our favorite colors — blue and white. It is also just cropped enough to tuck into pants without having to deal with the annoying, extraneous, ass-covering fabric that must be sealed in a pair of skinny pants like poorly sliced turkey in a ziplock bag. You know what I mean, right? You try to tuck and get your fingers stuck while you wish you hadn’t put rings on already and then you look in the mirror and there it is: ass crumple.
But that is neither here nor there as that problem has been solved.
And while the way Pixie Market has elected to style it (I would rather kill myself than see another pair of off-shoot Vans) may not assent with the way I will style it (Green culottes! Blue shorts! White high waist flared pants! Ill fit jeans!), I appreciate that the cheap-looking white ripped shorts keep the blouse a lush focal point.
Oh! And that’s the other thing. The cheap thing. The shirt costs $48 which is so much better than, like, $100. So, that’s that.
