It’s always Fashion Week somewhere, isn’t it? Here are some of our favorite bites (that particular nod to sucking cervix especially) from Tommy Ton for

  • monkeyshines
  • Lauren Lynch

Love the quilted jacket in the second to last photo.

  • So…I think the “Suck My Cervix” shirt might make for a good DIY project!

    • ana romero

      hahahaahahha I agree

    • Cassandra

UgGGhHh.. Once one has seen the cervix through the eye of the speculum, one wishes away all forms of cervical interaction (save the occasional poke/necessary sperm swim-through requisite for baby making).

      • Ha…it’s the same logic behind why I won’t swim in a public pool. As a lifeguard, once you clean one pool filter, you will never look at a sparkling pool the same way again. 😉

  • Well. P.

    I loved Tommy Ton <3

  • Kelli

I just wanted to say thank you, MR. without you, I may never wear my favorite human repelling velvet high wasted parachute pants.

  • Mirjam

Love the pictures and the styles! Especially Susi Bubble’s pink outfit fascinates me, she is always on the top!

Haha loved the 3rd photo! Some of these people are so inspiring!

  • Blehhhhhhhhhh

This is actually a really far cry from what Sydney streets look like most of the time. I guess that it IS Tommy tons job to pick out the best though.

  • Natashia

    Go Zanita!

  • Sophie

I love being a Australian Man Repeller right now, whoop whoop!

  • You should be over there, Leandra, I love your FW trends posts.

  • Pip

I love the street style pics! So inspiring!

  • Is Susie Bubble in the first photo? Girl makes pink look tough. Way too cool for school man.

  • Belén Cavas Hernández

Picture #2 in the photo album is my absolute favorite! How would you classify their style?

  • Em

Man, that has got to be my all-time favorite photo of Susie Bubble EVER. She looks amazing and that pink looks great against her hair and skin. She needs to wear her hair down more often.

    xoxo, Em

  • Love the 5th look! Thanks for sharing xo

  • The Provoker

I just had to l-o-l at the suck my cervix top, that’s hilarious! And yay I got the celine trousers in the last shot, the same one but I’d prefer it to be paired with sandals or strappy flats with a chunky low heel. Btw, I’ve just upload my new outfit post featuring MINT on MINT on MINT, so if you’re into pastels I urge you to feast your eyes, and do tell me what you think and hope you’re wholly PROVOKED! 😉

Somehow the girls from Down Under – and those from other parts of the world, who will instantly be injected with Australian coolness upon arrival – always manage to make their über-fashionable outfits look easy and laid-back. That’s why I probably love the street style from MBFWA the most. I mean, take Susie Bubble’s photo, for instance. She could have gone for more glamorous pants, but Australia told her to pair denim with that magnificent coat and voilà it looks super cool and effortless.

  • KV Morency

I’m here for that powder blue suit and the unexpected flash of neon in those pants! Yasssss

  • Bree Taylor

oh that was Ollie Henderson (Australian model) in the Suck my Cervix tee… she’s a little rockstar that one and kind of Australia’s version of a cross between Hanne Gaby and Cara. loves a bit of kooky. I’m totally divided on that tee though… i get it (obviously) but I dunno… is it just a bit too in your face?! I kinda think maybe but then I think … nah… maybe I’m being a nanna and in actual fact is just very edgy.

Got to say, MBFWA and the street style that comes with it really hit a new high this year… we have never had so many high profile bloggers (Susie Lau, Nicole Warne and many more), photographers (Tommy Ton, Nam, Candice Lake, Young Jun Koo, Adam Katz Sinding, Lee Oliveira, Yvan Rodic to name a few) and international fashionistas (Natalie Joos is but one example) here for the Aussie shows. If only you’d been here Leandra! We would have tripped right out at having you in the hood!

Anyway…it has been a true source of joy to see Australia shine so bright this year.

Proud week to be an Australian… especially one that has returned to the motherland and still calls Australia home. xx Bree

The “Suck My Cervix” Tee while it is a controversial piece it does not read Manrepeller. In fact it tells us the opposite. A sheer top with a bra underneath is Manrepeller to me because it is very out their but coming right out there saying “have sex with me”. But that one shirt seems like the girls in the “Are you a Manrepeller?” quiz who are in fact not a Manrepeller and should probably get checked for STD’s. This is my opinion, so if you want to put yourself out in that way it’s is your choice and you should dress how ever you feel fitting.

  • i think australia has some of the most incredible style but for some reason, i’m not a big fan of these pics. some of these outfits feel a bit forced. or trendy. or something.

    • I agree! i’m a born and bred sydney sider and the culture here when it comes to fashion doesn’t feel genuine. its more like they’re trying so hard to be trendy and get noticed. its very different to, for example, Melbourne street style

      • that’s so interesting. so you feel that Melbourne street style is a bit more personal? i’m totally googling it. tommy ton is great but he curates/focuses on the same styles wherever he may be. it would’ve been nice to see images from the lens of someone who actually resides in Sydney or Melbourne and can bring a fresh perspective to fashion. Felicia – arigatoo!

  • Lydia

i love that you’re acknowledging Australian style! I feel like it’s often over-looked, even in our own country! Thanks so much MR.

  • Dandy

I think Australian style and fashion is finally starting to pull its weight we used to be so behind and have such a niche stlye of our own! its really refreshing to be able to go to the stores and find fashionable trendy things now! the european stores like zara and topshop i think have really made designers realize they need to push themselves.

  • Digging the pink look!

  • I absolutely love what Zanita wore! Sheer at its best!

  • Brijetblog

Ollie Henderson (Suck my cervix) is my muse! Freaking fantastic model and she has such an innate sense of personal style. She always dresses almost like she is in a tank girl costume.

  • annabelle cenery

    Margaret Zhang is fucking flawless.
