Last month, I had the privilege–no really, wearing a Derek Lam dress this rad and getting photographed for a large sum of the United States to see is pretty surreal–of participating in a shoot with Marie Claire for an installment in their September issue called “Dress Code.”Alongside a couple other fancy women, we were asked to choose our primary fall investment pieces. This called, and typically does, for a fine piece of outerwear. So after choosing an ivory Chloe cape clad in enourmous bow tie, I was ready to repel. And then I came across this breathtaking dress. I had initially intended to wear it beneath the cape in one my looks. But then I got to thinking, if you’re going the whole nine yards and have substantial cash to spend on Fall, why not invest in something to wear under your coat. Safe from the perils of pollution, rain and most important: bird shit. As past and future seasons would suggest, themaxi dress has, can and will go a long way.
Just don’t trip!

Fine, you can totally trip, adds to our charm.
