Where: Pier 59, where a security guard stands and asks, “you here for fashion?” It’s charming, really.
What: The Rachel Comey Runway Show
The vibe: Everyone’s favorite downtown girl–the one who should have been born in 1959–infused with an elegance indigenous to another side of town. The color stories transcend from a group of whites (the show opens with a white embroidered sleeveless shiftdress and features a sheer oversized short sleeved jumpsuit,) goes into greys, some black, pink (a majestic bed-cover fabric that resembles nothing less than flower-puzzle hybrid,) and burgundy. It tells several different stories about girls from multiple walks of life and still comes together fluidly. A difficult task, indeed.
