Phone Acne

phone ac·ne [fohn ak-nee]
Caused by notification negligence, not clogged pores or pizza

When your phone has multiple red dots from all of your unchecked emails, pending software updates and Tinder notifications. It’s a major source of anxiety for many (especially when they view it on someone else’s phone). Ironically, this direct stress has been known to cause actual pimples.

To use in a sentence:

Salamander: Oh my god, Franthith, not to be rude but your phone has terrible acne.

Franthith: My phone?

Salamander: Yes. It has Phone Acne! But you know, if you would just check your email once in a while (or do what normal people do: just change your notification settings), the breakouts would clear right up
