Something I really like about going to Paris Fashion Week every season is that it usually really streamlines how I want to get dressed. This is partially because seeing other people look cooler than you is humbling, it challenges your own sense of fashion-comfort. Mostly, though, it’s because when you’re feeling stimulated by all the clothes running rampant in every direction your turn but are confined to the contents of a small suitcase, all of the stuff that you left behind at home, safely stowed in your closet, suddenly starts to feel really fresh.

What tends to happen is this: I realize I love my trench coats, that skinny jeans are not, in fact, dead and perhaps most consistently: that nothing tops a striped shirt. Not even a croissant. What doesn’t happen is that I come back wanting to wear assloads of tassels, specifically not in my hair.

And yet.

Here I am.

Tassel Town, USA.

I caught wind of this one necklace by Isabel Marant on Net-a-Porter and thought, “cool!” But it was quickly overshadowed by a bobby pin that had cascading tassels dangling off of it. These made me feel like my head should always aim to be the center of the party. But as is the case when your brain is functioning like tabs in a browser and you actually happen to be tab-surfing on a de facto web browser, Pixie Market held these possibilities:

+ A dress + $108

+ A top +$112

+ Another Top +$88

+ Another dress +$122

All of which totaled a dollar amount just slightly higher than the cost of Isabel Marant’s necklace and Rosantica’s bobby pin. So I said to myself, self: what to do?

What

To

Do?

And then determined this, earth to Leandra! HAIR TASSELS!

And that was that.

So…what’s in your cart?

When I saw the draft of 6245 dollars,,,yu I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his PC. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 10 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .

That collab was awesome! And all sold out by the time I got there 🙁

      Next time!

Oh man – baublebar has been pushing tassels for a good six months now. If you are a poor graduate student (cough cough like me) then every tasseled fantasy you have can be fulfilled there.

Shourouk has some really cool beaded and tasseled jewelry!

These posts are always funny to me. Seeing how Leandra lives vs. her staff through their stratified purchasing power. Reminds me of when I used to work for a boss who rarely gave raises (despite stellar performance reviews) but would come in to the office every other week or so with some expensive designer purchase for his wife.

I keep lurking around the Rodarte x & Other Stories collab but not buying. I do like this dress by Macgraw. Also Everlane because #Ethicallymanufacturedcashmere. Also I always have the real estate listing for the old abandoned barn on the main street of my hometown open in the background (with the intention of converting it into a tapestry studio, natch)

When I looked at the draft of 5936 dollars, I have faith that brother of my friend was like really generating cash in his free time with his PC…uom His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 11 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car. Look here for details.

that pixie market romper looks like my great-aunt’s toilet paper covers made love to solange’s 2015 met ball dress. just wondering if that would justify my wearing it at my great-aunt’s 105th-birthday party? kind of?
