Whatever illustrator Sally Thurer has going on in the back in her subconscious, gimme some-o-DAT.
The Fader asked Thurer to create a visual interpretation of Drake’s most “compulsively repeatable” lines from his new album Nothing Was the Same, and what she produced was equal parts trippy and cerebral. Just like Drake himself.
The images are like those old anti-drug commercials with the frying pan and eggs: this is Drake (*points to Drake*). This is his new album (*points to album*). This is Drake’s new album on Photoshop (*points to Thurer’s images*).
Aaaah, we get it now.
Have you listened to it yet? What do you think? And can you draw us some pictures of Drake’s lyrics?
