4. Crumbs Bake Shop stores to close
The cupcake chain Crumbs announced that it is shutting down all of its stores. Sounds like the cupcake empire is finally crumbling. Beware, Macarons, you could be next. [AP]
5. Restaurants cater to Instagram
In an article titled, “Your Eyes are Happier Than Your Stomach,” the Times declares that restaurants now care more about making their food Instagram-filter friendly and less about how it tastes. Finally. [NYTimes]
