7:12 a.m. My alarm has been going off for approximately 12 minutes. I finally hear it and force myself to roll out of bed. It’s the coldest Valentine’s day in 100 years! The weather is like my heart! Jk. But my Valentine is my cat, so kind of. And coffee. Def need coffee.
9:47 a.m. I leave the house in a bajillion layers.
10:33 a.m. By the time I get to Derek Lam’s backstage my fingers are already numb even though I’m wearing two pairs of gloves. I beeline for craft services for more coffee and take pics along the way. I loiter for another 45 to catch hands all over models’ faces.
11:45 a.m. I leave the balmy heat of backstage for the cold fashion streets. Snappy snappy snappy, I’m so happy, but I can’t feel my fingers todaaaayyyy do-bop-de-do-bop.
12:24 p.m. I dash inside and take my place right before showtime. The carpet is striped and I’m perched on a bench corner waiting to take atmosphere pics. It’s dreamy in a Céline way. I wish it was warm enough to wear this stuff right now. When it ends, I sprint out first to chase everyone down as they leave.
1:33 p.m. It’s time for Sandy Liang! My favorite cool girl. I hope there’s food, but just in case, I grab some pastries and coffee (that’s a fashion week meal, right? Right?). They don’t have food, but the music is bumping and there are clothes that I really REALLY want to be wearing. Sign me up for one of everything, please.
2:30p.m. J.Crew is happening in more ways than one, so I go hang outside to shoot street style. I quickly lose all feeling in my fingers.
~Back to the office for a photo editing break with Indian food and a friendly inversion to keep my blood flowing to my brain!~
6:?? p.m. PRABAL TIME. I run backstage and stalk models again. They be chillin. Smile at a cute boy. He smiles back.
And then it’s fashion time!
9:00 p.m. I finally get to the train, and I’m the only one in the car. Commence selfie taking and goodnight.
