Trend to Try: Fancy Brows

Comment-dit-on ‘fashion victim?’ Alternative title: on embracing the sparkle brow. Figured trend to try may work better because the ultimate sentiment important to note is a question. Who will take the first plunge here: you or me? Yes, sure, glitter shoes were fun for a moment, eyebrows though…more permanent, ergo fun for a lifetime. Here’s also to asymmetry, ice cubes, ankle length coats again. From Chanel’s FW 2012 runway show.

    I agree with Natasha! Glitter brows are creative and look super bold, but I don't know I'd be able to pull it off. Truthfully, I don't think i could handle getting weird looks from people all day… Haha

    I don't think I'd be able to pull these off. I love the concept, but they're a bit too bold for even me. I mean, that's coming from someone who wears red lipstick and a dramatic eye at least 3-4 times a week…so you know I mean it when I say it's too bold. :)

    love it on runways, and models, I admire those who try to make their eyebrows look like that on a day-to-day basis.. My eyebrows are extremely thick already.. I don't need anymore to them, lol!! :)

    Awesome. I'd ditch the glitter but stick with the shape. Surely cracking out the crayola's like a crazed toddler can't hurt my temples? Pretty certain I'd look all intelligent and mysterious a-la Kahlo. Not at all angry vamp.

    When I first saw this trend I was taken back a bit from it. Definitely wouldn't wear it out in public, but for the runways its pretty interesting. Reminds me so much of McQueen.

    I love it on the runway but aren't you concerned about one dropping into you eye and being blinded forever? Or is that just me?

    I will however rock the exaggerated brow sunnies I've seen here and there. Sunnies don't get in your eyes Leandra!

    As a person who is not so secretly obsessed with/wants to become Joan Crawford I am always tantalized by the idea of fierce brows – confrontational brows even. And while glitter is probably more confusing than striking to the general public (damn them and their narrow perceptions of awesomeness) I’ve found that one can get away with color. That is, eyeshadow whose base is close to the natural color of your actual brow. Mine are black so I’ve gotten away with navy/deep sienna/plum – just a hint mind you – but with a deft hand the impact is fabulous.
