I figured because the contingency of layers piling themselves onto my body would start depreciating what with the rising temperatures that rose wildly fast, jeez loueez, this city doesn't know how to do anything in moderation, it was time to latch on to a new man repelling trend and so, monochrome it was.
satin skirt: Kimberly Taylor, shoes: Christian Louboutin
I had intially intended to spot light just a few fairly obvious monochromatic looks but once I got going, I couldn't stop, and thus, a rainbow emerged. Not just any old rainbow though...
vintage suede jacket, Max Mara blouse, Zara skirt, Christian Louboutin kicks.
One my father could participate in! Everyone say hello, this is my pa. He's was my favorite human specimen on planet earth before I geared up to wear an all-orange outfit, but quickly became my favorite human specimen on the whole planet when I noticed he was dressed in orange monochrome at his own leisure while I was just trying to impress you. He's so damn on-trend.
This is the one where he shakes his head in dismay again and exclaims, "where did we go wrong?"
On to yellow...
jacket: Dallin Chase, crop top: Kimberly Taylor, purse: Z Spoke
Hey look! There's a painted photo of the Western Wall behind me! This was before I got my really rad yellow banana Tibi dress so the yellow look was more a cognac look. This is what I call turning lemons to lemonade. Or rather, lemons to proper grub.
purse: Chanel, bow: Vintage
I wore this one out. Before doing that though...
I enjoyed snacking on some gilded glass grapes. I was hungry, sue me.
If I had a dime for every time someone asked me if my Julian Louie x Aldo shoes were Balenciaga, I'd have...50 cents!
The great thing about this living room is that every corner covers a different rainbow hue.
And the thing that is so great about me is that I am so committed to my costumes that if I need to start urinating in multi-hued blue scarfs, I will do so.
And now, for purple.
jacket: Topshop, blouse: Amanda Uprichard, shorts: Cynthia Rowley, shoes: Alex Wang
In for the kill, deer-in-headlights chic closes this color story.
I'm headed to London tonight but will toterly take my computer so I can update all your fancy little behinds on my whereabouts. In case you are in London right now as you read this, tweet me and let's go streaking through Oxford Circus!
Also, in spirit of my trip, watch a video I did with The Outnet a couple of months ago when they were on this side of that stupid ol' Pond.

LOVE your blog!
ReplyDeleteNow how would you combine all these awesome colors in 1 outfit? just curious..
Omigosh Leandra!
ReplyDeleteIs it kosher for me to say I have a HUGE crush on your dad? He's the epitome of (well, to my mind) Sephardic Francophone cool. He's so handsome! Yum! You are gorgeously man repelling. He could just sing smoky ballads all day alongside your photoshoots. Can you include him in more? Can you do a repelling study on your parents? Their style is wicked! You are soooo lucky! It's in your F-ing genes. I love you in green. I love you in Orange. It's a special kind of hideous. Awesome!
Lots of love,
Odelia <3

ReplyDeletespeaking of the Western Wall, when are you gonna come visit Israel? I'm sure it's gonna be lots of fun for you to be out and about, repelling in the streets of the holy land! (I'm thinking biblical sandals with socks... mmm... maybe gone too far)
